About Us

Michael Pennette and Terry Davenport are a husband and wife design team who are the principals of TASTE Restaurant Graphics. They bring a unique set of skills to the creation of menus and other restaurant graphics.

Michael’s background had been in graphic arts and advertising for a number of years in Manhattan, where, after attending Pratt Institute of Art & Design in Brooklyn and the School of Visual Arts in New York City, he spent many years in the business, winning a number of awards offered up by prestigious groups such as the AIGA and art directors club of New York as well as awards for typographic excellence.

Throughout Michael’s entire career as an art director and then creative director for blue-chip agencies, he was also a student of architecture and interior design, a love interest that was cultivated in his spare time until he was given a chance to design a small restaurant in Greenwich, Connecticut, where he and Terry resided at the time.
Together, they jumped at the opportunity, and this “sideline” grew into KTP Design Group, Inc., a boutique interior design shop that has specialized in creating interiors and graphics for upscale restaurants for the past ten years. www.ktpdesigngroup.com

Terry had started in graphics in Manhattan as well, first creating client presentations and then evolving into a television producer for one of world's largest ad agencies, Ogilvy & Mather. In more recent years, she has developed into a fine arts painter, and not surprisingly, her work can be found in some of the restaurants designed by KTP.

Terry and Michael found themselves being engaged to create the graphic packages and promotional materials for restaurants created by other large interior design firms and architectural firms as well. As a result Terry and Michael recently formed TASTE Restaurant Graphics as a niche studio within KTP devoted exclusively to creating restaurant graphics that are idea-driven and fully integrated with the unique food concept and design spirit of each venue.
